City, University of London

About us

Located in the heart of legal London, City became a College of the University of London in 2016. City Law School’s origins can be traced back to the Inns of Court School of Law in the nineteenth century and City’s former Centre for Legal Studies was the original provider of the law conversion course for non-law graduates.

City Law School operates a number of pro bono programmes and partners with ELF in the provision of both ELF legal and policy clinics. These are supervised by Dr Paul Stookes, a former ELF Chief Executive and long-time ELF solicitor member.

Students in City’s ELF policy clinic contributed research for ELF’s Local urgency on the Climate Emergency? report.
