  • The Sustainable Communities Act 2007:
    • ELF’s Sustainable Communities Project was launched one year ago.  What has the SCA achieved and where is it going?  Steve Shaw of Local Works, tireless campaigner for the SCA, will give a talk looking at the Act’s achievements and where he sees it a year from now.  With 300 local proposals received by the Local Government Association, much has already been achieved
    • We will hear from local government on why they felt it was not necessary to use the SCA: London Borough of Camden’s Head of Engagement, Ed Wallace, talks about their initiative Camden Talks.  With a citizen’s panel of over 2,000 local people we will hear how Camden turns canvassed views into actions
